Get to know Maastricht during this powerful walk along the highlights of the city led by an official Maastricht guide. A fun, inspiring, and educational way to learn all the highlights of the city. This programme gives a perfect impression of the many historical, architectural, and culinary 'must-sees' that the city has to offer. Along the way, you will be treated to a refreshing drink, visit the treasury of Sint Servaas, climb the tower of Sint Jan, or visit the Roman remains at Derlon.

Please put comfortable shoes on because it is a walk at a solid pace on the cobbled stones that make Maastricht so authentic. On the route, we will stop at the oldest café in Maastricht for a snack and a drink.

Tour 2 - Step Tour Through The Zonneberg Caves Maastricht

Arrival at Caves Zonneberg, Maastricht (Slavante 1, left next to Buitengoed Slavante.) 

Discover the deepest secrets of Sint Pietersberg by scooter with a Maastricht Underground guide. The scooter is an ideal means to cover long distances in the caves. In this way, places are reached where a regular tour is not possible. The guide introduces the group to this special underground world in a unique way. Enjoy fascinating stories full of anecdotes and trivia and the authentic and mysterious atmosphere of the marble caves. A huge system with man-made tunnels. The labyrinth once had more than 20,000 corridors with a total length of about 200 kilometres. The system currently has about 8,000 corridors with a total length of about 80 kilometres. There is no electricity, no sound, no range, and no lighting — only the light of a headlamp. An exciting and surprising outing with momentum behind it!

Particularities:

The temperature in the caves is around 11 degrees all year. Keep that in mind with regard to clothing, and wear sturdy shoes! Wear sporty shoes and clothes that can get dirty. It's not allowed, for security reasons, to consume alcohol prior to this activity. Participation is at your own risk.
